Arconic is currently in search of **Corporate Safety Manager** to join our **EHS Team.** This position can be located at one of the following plants in North America: Davenport, IA; Lancaster, PA; Cranberry Township, PA; Alcoa, TN; or Lafayette, IN.

**Primary Responsibilities**

* Responsible for the development and deployment of the annual safety plan.

* Assist the VP of EHS with global fatal and serious incident reporting, investigation, trend analysis and strategic intervention initiatives.

* Maintain knowledge of the most current technological improvements in occupational safety.

* Participate on EHS Audits.

* Manage the Stop Coin Process.

* Coordinate the update and maintenance of corporate safety policies and training programs.

* Serve as the Point Person for programs such as Electrical, Combustion, Combustible particulate, and Contactor Safety.

* Develop the presentation and lead the monthly FSI review process.

**Key Objectives**

* Partner with respective business unit EHS directors to coordinate Corporate level initiatives focused on the elimination of life-threatening injuries for both employees and contracted services personnel.

* Promote hazard recognition and risk assessment techniques capable of identifying latent conditions and precursors to human error that can lead to active individual or systemic organizational failures in the Companys safety system and provide recommendations on layers of control.

* Integrating perspectives and cultures from different countries into Arconics safety communications

* Assist with global safety communications being sensitive to regional differences and local regulations through:

+ Standardizing Arconics mandatory safety procedures and eliminating vague or poor guidance where it may exist

+ Communicating Arconics global safety expectations and actions in a clear, binary and direct manner

+ Coordinate the activities of teams such as the Secondary Protective Clothing Team, the Global Safety Committee and the Human Performance Steering Team.

* Benchmark and research projects where a need for additional information or broader understanding on an emerging issue exists.

* Ensure that the Arconics incident reporting, recordkeeping systems are current, effective and capable of providing the necessary data, analysis and visual indicators necessary to support the diagnostic and dashboard needs of the Company.

* With the assistance of EHS Audit, the group and business unit EHS managers, monitor injury/illness recordkeeping practices across Arconic to determine where gaps in performance may exist.

* In conjunction with the VP of EHS and the Ethics and Compliance group periodically oversee random third-party audits to ensure adequate oversight of the system and maintenance of good recordkeeping practices.

**Qualifications**

**Basic Qualifications**

* Bachelor of Science in Safety Sciences, Occupational Safety and Health or similar field from an accredited institution.

* 7 years minimum experience in industrial safety or similar occupational health and safety experience

* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

* This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Masters Degree in Safety Sciences.

* Certified Safety Professional

* International experience.

* Human Performance experience

* Metals industry experience.

* Previous experience with Arconic operations.

* Safety leadership in a multi-plant, regional or business unit role.
