Renal Office Receptionist
We are currently seeking to hire a full-time Receptionist.
Rate of pay is $15-$20 per hour based on experience.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Patient Check-In and Check-Out: Greeting patients as they arrive at the office, checking them in for their appointments, verifying their personal and insurance information, and collecting any necessary co-payments or fees. Additionally, they assist patients in checking out after their appointments, scheduling follow-up visits, and arranging any necessary tests or procedures.
Appointment Scheduling: Managing the scheduling of patient appointments, including new patient consultations, follow-up visits, and procedures. This involves coordinating with medical staff to ensure appointments are properly allocated and spaced out throughout the day.
Answering Phones and Fielding Inquiries: Managing incoming phone calls, answering general inquiries from patients, scheduling appointments over the phone, and directing calls to the appropriate medical staff member when necessary.
Medical Records Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medical history, test results, and treatment plans. This may involve entering data into electronic health record (EHR) systems, organizing paper records, and ensuring compliance with patient privacy regulations (HIPAA).
Insurance Verification and Billing Support: Verifying patients' insurance coverage, obtaining pre-authorizations for procedures or treatments, and assisting patients with billing inquiries or concerns. This may involve working closely with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and ensure timely reimbursement for services rendered.
Maintaining Office Supplies and Equipment: Ordering and stocking necessary office supplies, ensuring medical equipment is properly maintained and functioning, and notifying appropriate personnel of any maintenance or repair needs.
Administrative Support: Assisting medical staff with various administrative tasks, such as preparing patient charts, processing paperwork, and managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
