Job Details

Level II Installation Technician Position Requirements:

  • Able to read drawings including legends and wire labels.
  • Capable of following instructions including but not limited to pulling wire, mounting devices with little to no help from Lead.
  • Able to record progress on drawings along with making notes.
  • NICET Level I - Fire Alarm Systems
  • Nurse Call
  • Access Control
  • Intrusion Detection
  • 1-3 years installation experience

Level III Installation Position Requirements:
  • Make accurate as-built drawing
  • Able to rough-in any type of system following drawings and legends.
  • Basic knowledge of setting daily/weekly goals and carrying them out.
  • Able to adjust drawing/circuit layout if needed
  • Capable of training lower-level technicians
  • Know some basic Fire Alarm programming for Notifier panels. Example: Adding and deleting points, setting up NACs for synchronization.
  • NICET Level II - Fire Alarm Systems
  • NICET Level I - In-Building Public Safety Communications (IB-PSC)
  • Nurse Call
  • Access Control
  • Intrusion Detection
  • 1-3 years installation experience

Level IV Installation Position Requirements:
  • Able to run medium scale projects up to 3 systems with some programming help.
  • Proficient at reading all aspects of drawings.
  • Able to calculate loads on circuits that are field changed
  • Capable of training upcoming Level III technicians.
  • Able to completely program Notifier projects
  • NICET Level III - Fire Alarm Systems
  • NICET Level II - In-Building Public Safety Communications (IB-PSC)
  • NICET Level I - Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems
  • Nurse Call
  • Access Control
  • Intrusion Detection
  • 3-6 years of installation experience

Level V Installation Position Requirements:
  • Able to run large scale projects with 4 or more systems.
  • Capable of training upcoming Level IV technicians.
  • Proficient at programming complex Notifier projects including using complex logic equations.
  • NICET Level IV - Fire Alarm Systems
  • NICET Level II - In-Building Public Safety Communications (IB-PSC)
  • NICET Level II - Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems
  • Access Control
  • Intrusion Detection
  • Capable of programming a complete Nurse Call System with no support
  • 6-9 years installation experience

Summary: The Technician is responsible for the physical/operational installation and documentation of low voltage systems including, but not limited to, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, nurse call and security. All work must be done while developing and maintaining relationships with a broad base of external customers including commercial facilities, entertainment venues, places of worship, manufacturers, etc. as well as with internal customers (salespersons, technicians, etc.). This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Additional Experience Requirements:
  • Industry experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and parts manuals to diagnose/troubleshoot and repair minor issues.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to regularly carry and climb a 6' or taller ladder.
  • Ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to use ladders and lifts to include work in unusual and sometimes difficult locations.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements (required).
  • Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and ability to communicate with customers at all levels.

Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
