Position Description: Inside Sales Manager

The Inside Sales Manager will lead the Retail Discover Team, which is responsible for working leads generated by Clayton Retail through websites and lead generation campaigns. The Inside Sales Manager will direct the activities of the Retail Discover Team Leads and assist with all lead management and sales activity to support the Retail Discover Team. Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for maintaining a positive environment that drives sales while providing a world class customer experience for leads. Ability to communicate and lead the team to hit targeted lead generation and sales goals. Ensure all policies and procedures are followed. Work with leadership and the Retail Specialist team to determine necessary business process changes and meet deadlines for completion. Promote company image through professional service and actions. Train and coach the team on phone sales best practices. Build a team culture aligned with Retail and Company values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partners with Discover Manager and VP of Retail Marketing to determine goals, initiatives, incentives, policies and procedures
  • Develops reporting to monitor lead and sales performance
  • Creates clarity around expectations for team performance based on ROI and efficiency
  • Conducts weekly sales meetings
  • Work with Clayton Retail leadership, Clayton Real Estate leadership, and Discover leadership to build and expand on the digital buying experience for Clayton Retail leads
  • Ensures customer satisfaction is maintained at a high level
  • Aligns the Clayton Retail Discover Team on all promotions, Home Touch, Factory Tour book, contests, etc.
  • Partners with the Retail Digital Marketing Manager, Website Teams and Clayton Real Estate Team to research and discover new marketing strategies to help reach more/new potential buyers.
  • Travels to home shows, Sales Rallies, and other Regional or Zone meetings to promote the team, build relationships, gather feedback and innovate on processes
  • Evaluates digital marketing tactics, lead and website data to maximize marketing efforts at the Zone and Region level
  • Coaches team members on performance continuously and completes annual reviews for Team Members
  • Manage the comprehensive sales activity and tracking for all sales professionals utilizing Vantage/Sales Path, the Opportunity Board, and Deal Boards
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies governing credit operations
  • Develops reports and audits to ensure compliance and deadlines are met


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Must Possess:
  • 2-5 years of sales leadership experience, including but not limited to inside sales teams.
  • Must be detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Must have phone sales experience and a working knowledge of strategies and best practices.
  • Highly effective in both verbal and written communication.
  • Able to organize and prioritize tasks and communicate with team members at all levels.
  • Good computer skills with competency with Microsoft Office.
  • Goal oriented with the capacity to meet and exceed assigned goals.
  • Must be passionate about providing a world-class customer experience.
  • Use of Salesforce software a plus.
  • Aptitude at gathering facts, analyzing causes, evaluating alternate solutions, and arriving at sound conclusions on action to be taken.
  • Familiarity with state laws, rules, regulations around telemarketing and SMS communications.
  • High sense of urgency.
  • Able to give helpful feedback as well as encouragement.
  • Ability to pass criminal background check as well as post-offer drug screen
  • High school diploma or equivalent. College degree a plus, but not required.
