RayTek Federal Corporation is seeking a Project Manager to contribute to support to the Advanced Engineering Technologies group. The Project Management Specialist will support our contract at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN. The Advanced Engineering Technologies group of National Security Sciences Directorate is adding new projects that require solid project management support from the Project Management Office. PMO support ensures consistency across the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing processes. This support allows the scientists to focus on their areas of expertise with greater efficiency, and also allows for more consistent reporting and communication with the project sponsors."

Responsibilities:

• Fully coordinate projects from initiation to completion, including selecting and setting up appropriate project management software.
• Develop and manage work breakdown structures and establish the project schedule, milestones, and costs.
• Regularly meet with stakeholders to gather, update, and track project data.
• Actively maintain project documentation, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information.
• Exercise flexibility and ingenuity to manage a program of smaller, diverse projects, using creative solutions to suit project-specific needs.
• Ensure control over project scope, budget, and timeline while consistently communicating project status to sponsors.
• Develop effective communication strategies and provide comprehensive project reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Proof of US Citizenship is required
• BS/BA in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Five years of experience managing projects independently from the ground up.
• Active Department of Energy (DOE) Q clearance or eligibility for a DOE Q clearance
• Demonstrated confidence, independence, and proactive approach, especially in gathering and updating project information.
• Intermediate knowledge of Project Management principles and techniques.
• Certification such as CAPM or PMP.
• Ability to translate technical information into actionable, trackable tasks.
• Ability to work with minimal oversight, displaying initiative and problem-solving skills to drive projects forward.

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience with the Department of Energy or its national laboratories.
• Residence in the Oak Ridge or Knoxville, TN area.
