Description

The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide customer service support. The position is responsible for providing general services for the assigned department. The position works under direct supervision according to set procedures.
Summary of Duties

• Assists customers by telephone and in person; provides routine information and answers customer questions regarding assigned area; transfers telephone calls to appropriate personnel as required.
• Prepares departmental equipment for customer use; provides instruction to patrons on proper use of equipment; performs maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
• Provides requested service, such as ringing up sales for activities, equipment rental, passes, programs or merchandise.
• Performs cleaning tasks for assigned area, such as vacuuming and dusting.
• Monitors customers to ensure conformance to departmental safety rules and regulations.
• Attends staff meetings to exchange information.
• Pro shop employees must report to work 30 minutes before opening.
• Turn on/off alarm using your own code number.
• Use the golf shop radio to communicate with other golf employees when needed.
• Lock/Unlock the main clubhouse entry doors.
• Turn on/off bathroom and hallway lights.
• Print the next day's tee sheet at the end of the day for the starter
• Look over the tee sheet for anything that will need special attention.
• Greet and Check-in golfers in a friendly manner.
• Offer assistance to guests browsing.
• Answer phones using phone procedure.
• Help customers with merchandise, as much as possible.
• Offer help to the golf professionals if necessary.
• Close out computer at the end of the day,
• Prepare deposit for the morning and keep in safe.
• Lock inside golf shop door, outside door and door going to the cart barn upon shop closing time.
• Keeping track of merchandise, seeing that people pay for all items

Minimum Qualifications

Requires high school diploma, GED, or vocational training.
