This role involves ensuring project safety and success, requiring solid technical understanding and experience in construction quality assurance across various geotechnical and civil projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Monitor activities on job sites to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  2. Provide routine monitoring of multiple active construction sites.
  3. Prepare daily, weekly, and progress reports.
  4. Ensure project documentation accuracy and compliance.
  5. Conduct geotechnical field investigations.
  6. Monitor heavy civil construction projects.
  7. Perform and review engineering calculations.
  8. Conduct dam and levee inspections and assist with evaluations.
  9. Develop construction documents.
  10. Write and review engineering reports.
  11. Interact with project personnel and foster team collaboration.
  12. Follow safety policies and procedures outlined in project and company safety plans.

Education and Licensure

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 8 years of applicable experience, or an Associate's degree with 6 years, or a Bachelor's degree with 4 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical understanding of site investigation, construction quality assurance, and environmental remediation projects.
  • Ability to monitor various construction activities simultaneously.
  • Experience with project management and CPM software (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Excellent writing and detail orientation skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 49 pounds unaided and 50-100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to work outdoors, independently, and as part of a team, with willingness to travel.
  • Must pass health & safety training, medical monitoring, and background checks.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with a satisfactory record.
