Job Summary

This bench position will provide management support to new and existing SSC accounts in K-12 or higher education settings. Travel is required and can be significant, including overnights. Candidates should be open to relocating outside of Atlanta, GA.

As a Director of Facilities, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the functions and activities of plant operations and building renovations within K-12 or higher education systems. This role requires full-service experience, including custodial, grounds, maintenance, and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and evaluate existing programs, services, policies, and procedures.
2. Monitor workflow and quality to ensure timely completion and compliance with standards and regulations, utilizing computerized programs for maintenance, construction, financial management, and energy controls.
3. Prepare and lead departmental budgets, including utility and energy savings programs.
4. Provide guidance, training, and motivation to staff.
5. Maintain effective client relationships.
6. Monitor work performance and prepare performance evaluations for personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience at the Director or Assistant Director level required.
• Experience in construction management is preferred.
