Summary:

Provide overall on-site management on construction project site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise specific construction efforts to ensure project is in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  2. Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.).
  3. Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
  4. Assist Project Superintendents in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
  5. Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify project management, and recommend/implement corrective actions as required.
  6. Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage 1 to 5 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 1 to 7 employees in the field operations.

Requirements:

Overall knowledge and experience in site work construction such as earthmoving, dewatering, underground utility construction, road, and parking lot construction & surveying. Willingness to travel out of town or state.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of four years Heavy Civil Earthwork construction management and/or craft supervision experience. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, cost control schedules and safety required. Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential.
