Urgent Team is seeking compassionate and skilled Medical Assistants to become an essential part of our dynamic healthcare team. We currently have PRN (as-needed) shifts available!

Urgent Team is a leading independent operator of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast, with over 80 locations operating under various brands. We pride ourselves on providing quality, accessible family healthcare and are dedicated to delivering a wide range of services, including treatment for injuries and illnesses, wellness care, and more.

Our centers are open seven days a week, offering convenient care during the following hours: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. All our locations are Accredited Care Centers, a recognition that underscores our commitment to safety and quality.

Job Summary:
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in offering basic clinical care to our patients in line with your medical training. While our full-time team members follow a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts and every-other weekend, our PRN staff are called upon as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you can expect to perform the following responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet patients as they enter the waiting room, exam rooms, and any other needed areas.
  • Keep patients informed about wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
  • Proactively address patient concerns and recognize situations that may require immediate assistance.
  • Conduct follow-up calls with a sense of urgency to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Assist front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out as needed.
  • Accurately gather and document vital signs, medical history, current medications, and allergies.
  • Assist with patient transfers and procedures under the direct supervision of a provider.
  • Complete necessary documentation related to each patient visit according to established procedures.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
- Medical Assistant Certificate or relevant experience
- BLS Certification required
