Job DetailsJob Location: Blackberry Mountain - Walland, TNPosition Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $16.50 HourlyJob Shift: DayDescription and QualificationsThe Pool Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance and care of our pools and spas.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:* Mixing chemicals, testing the water, and maintaining the appropriate balance of chlorine, pH, calcium and alkalinity in the water.* Performing pool/spa cleaning, cleaning filters, identifying damage in pool structure/ equipment, and maintaining stock records, and reporting water quality issues to managers.* Driving to the customers' home within BMTN property* Understanding electronic components that operate pool equipment and to be able to add schedules to pump equipment.Must comply with all company policies and procedures.To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.Weekends and holidays are required.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE* High School diploma or equivalent* 1-3 years of experience in outdoor lawn care or landscaping* Valid driver's licenseLANGUAGE SKILLS* Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and managersMATHEMATICAL SKILLS* Basic math skillsREASONING ABILITY* Must be able to remain calm under pressure* Must possess motivational skills* Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goalsPHYSICAL DEMANDS* Job entails excessive lifting of pool chemicals and other pool/ spa related equipment* Job requires to be on feet most or all of shift* Must be able to lift 50 pounds* Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle* Must be able to work from elevated surfaces* Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditionsWORK ENVIRONMENT* Outdoors at either hotel or owner pools/spas* 5,200 acres of Blackberry Mountain propertyAbout BlackberryBlackberry Mountain, a Relais & Châteaux property, continues a legacy of world-renowned hospitality and unwavering dedication and appreciation for the land.
