Works in coordination with nursing leadership in an assigned unit to ensure work is accomplished effectively. First Line support for staff, physician and other related providers for specific clinical issues. Generally a long term role, requiring extensive clinical and interpersonal skills. Collaborates with the manager on staffing needs and clinical and non clinical issues ( individual behaviors, employee relations, etc) to facilitate quality patient care. Liaison between patients, families, nursing staff, medical staff and administration. Support for the unit/department when the director is unavailable. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education and/or experience: Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Tennessee.
