Job Details

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs a variety of waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory tests on blood and body fluid specimens to assist in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of disease. Under the supervision of a Medical Technologist or Laboratory Supervisor, the MLT ensures accurate, timely results by adhering to quality control protocols, operating laboratory instruments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The MLT also participates in training, procedure evaluations, and specimen collection as needed. Essential Functions Performs laboratory testing in assigned departments following established procedures for waived, moderate, and high-complexity tests; reviews and validates results for accuracy.
