ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for full life cycle development including design, implementation, testing and maintenance of beginner to intermediate PowerOn, Javascript, and SQL as well as associated subsystems. Writes efficient code that follows credit union defined standards and naming conventions.
- Conducts detailed analysis of system interactions to determine technical solutions and resolves problems which are cost effective and consistent with user needs, system capacities and capabilities. Assists credit union staff with implementation of new systems.
- Works with other departments and/or vendors on project development. Attends meetings with appropriate employees or vendors to obtain necessary information and direction to proceed with the development and success of the project.
- Modifies existing software to meet branch and/or department employee's requirements. Maintains and modifies code that is in production to comply with system changes and new CU specifications. Debugs existing code to ensure minimal user downtime and maintain maximum member service. Assists other department programmers with testing and debugging as needed.
- Utilizes effective project management techniques in planning, estimating, controlling and completing assignments
- Works with IT team to troubleshoot complex problems to identify if code related. Performs helpdesk functions as needed for application support.
- Performs other duties as assigned. (including help desk support to all internal team members).
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE - Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Two years of Financial Institution experience preferred. PowerOn 1 and PowerOn 2 core system certifications and code writing experience.
- Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field) preferably in IT or Business Administration.

- Strong interpersonal skills highly motivated and well organized excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft office products, excel, word, power point, outlook etc.
- Strong management skills in the area of staff career development and motivation, coaching and supervising, and risk management.
- Ability to prioritize workload, maintain integrity of confidential member and team member information.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Capacity to define problems; gather data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Analyze and interpret statistical data, focus on details, correlate various pieces of information, identify trends, and understand the reasons behind problems as well as successes.
- Generate effective solutions to problems, consider all aspects of situations, negotiating compromises, suggest alternative solutions, and balance business needs with individual needs (e.g., team member needs, member needs).

- Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
- Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and sit. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move items over 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
