Position Summary:
As the Development Project Leader, you will take ownership of assigned projects from initiation to construction completion, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget. You will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaboration: Foster and exemplify cross-functional and external collaboration to efficiently execute projects that align with EG America's goals.
Initial Design & Plan Review: Work closely with consultants on initial designs, providing critical feedback that aligns with EG America's intent.
Entitlements: Coordinate with consultants on entitlements required for projects, representing EG America at public meetings when necessary.
Permitting: Oversee the coordination of all permit submissions needed for construction to proceed.
Construction Administration: Manage all activities related to construction bidding, general contractor selection, construction schedules, vendor payments, budgets, and closeout. Travel to job sites as needed.
Overall Project Management: Implement best project management practices to establish accurate budgets, develop project scope, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Working Relationships: Collaborate with Field Leaders, Design Professionals, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Equipment Vendors, Local/State Agencies, and EG America Store Support Center personnel.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management with additional certifications or graduate coursework, such as PMP or Graduate Certificates.
Minimum Experience:
5 years of Capital Retail Development experience in design, entitlements, permitting, and construction.
Preferred Experience:
7 years of Capital Retail Development experience in the C-Store/Petroleum sector, with expertise in program management, design, entitlements, permitting, and construction disciplines.

Travel: Up to 50% travel may be required, depending on geographic location. A clean driving record is necessary.
Hours & Conditions: Typically Monday to Friday for 8 hours/day during standard business hours, with occasional weekend work for events or urgent matters.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and move items up to 40 pounds occasionally, stand/walk for 8 hours a day, and work in cooler temperatures. The usual noise level in the work environment is moderate.
