Description:

Love movies? So do we — and we're on a mission to bring the magic of cinema into every guest's hands, from the first click to the final credits. At Regal, we believe that technology is part of the show, powering the discovery, ticketing, loyalty, and digital experiences that make a trip to the movies unforgettable.

We're seeking a Director of Engineering to take a starring role in leading our product engineering teams. You'll build and guide high-performing groups that deliver secure, scalable, and intuitive digital platforms used by millions of moviegoers. Think of yourself as the director behind the scenes, making sure every digital touchpoint — from browsing showtimes to buying popcorn — runs flawlessly.

What will you be doing?

  • You'll build, lead, and grow high-performing product engineering teams, hiring and developing engineering managers and technical leads.
  • You'll work closely with Product and UX partners to deliver guest-facing commerce, loyalty, and marketing experiences.
  • You'll champion engineering best practices in code quality, testing, scalability, and secure development.
  • You'll mentor and develop leaders within your teams, creating clear paths for growth and career development.
  • You'll collaborate with peers across Architecture, DevOps, and Security to ensure alignment and reliability across all platforms.
  • You'll drive operational excellence by supporting agile practices, setting effective metrics, and ensuring strong execution that delivers measurable business impact.
About you
  • You have 5+ years of software engineering leadership, with a record of building and scaling product engineering teams.
  • You've hired, mentored, and grown engineering managers and technical leads.
  • You understand modern cloud architectures (microservices, API-first, multi-tenant) and can apply them in practice.
  • You're familiar with AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and secure development practices.
  • You naturally partner with Product and UX to create intuitive, impactful digital guest experiences.
  • You're a clear communicator who connects technical work to business outcomes.
  • You'll be a great fit if our values resonate with you: We Create, We Perform, We Inspire.
