Overview

Prepares and processes loan documents for lending personnel with attention to detail always checking for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and bank policies.

Responsibilities
  • Inputs and updates loan data into the financial institution's computer system; assembles and verifies loan documents for accuracy.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of banking laws and regulations through continuing education practices including attendance at seminars and meetings with peers.
  • Prepares legal documents for recording at the county and state level.
  • Confers with attorneys, title companies, insurance companies, credit department, and loan operations to provide or receive information pertinent to the loan documentation process.
  • Provides administrative support for the Centralized Loan department and various lenders as directed.
  • Cross-markets financial institution products and services as appropriate.
  • Collects HMOA data for reporting purposes.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Required Education & Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred Education & Experience: Experience in banking or loan processing.
  • Ability to obtain a Notary Public designation is required.

General hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; long hours, weekend work, and travel expected on occasion.
