Junior Developer Position

VetsEZ is seeking junior level developers with RESTful experience to support a critical development initiative. This role involves developing a robust suite of RESTful APIs using modern programming practices that interface with our specialized healthcare technology. Developers will have the opportunity to build upon their modern development skillset, alongside opportunities to learn and specialize in healthcare IT technologies.

This role is advantageous for students as VetsEZ can support both full time and part time schedules.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities

• Designing, code, test, and debug a variety of programming languages using the latest programming techniques.
• Learn and become proficient with related technologies in the development lifecycle including Git and version control, JSON, API testing tools, and Jira.

Requirements

• Experience with objected oriented programming (Java, Python etc.) and either RESTful APIs or SQL. Experience with all three preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder, Agile, and DevSecOps environment.
• Ability to obtain a Federal Government clearance.

Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or declared major in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Utilization of Git and version control a plus.
• Experience with JSON a plus.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, etc. a plus.
• Experience with JIRA a plus.
