Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
- Certification or training in behavioral health, mental health, or a related discipline.
- Experience in clinical documentation and patient care within a behavioral health or mental health setting.
- Knowledge of crisis management and intervention techniques.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED).
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation software.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Training in trauma-informed care and de-escalation strategies.
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health and emotional disorders, including those with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED).
- Conduct clinical assessments and assist in monitoring patient progress according to individualized treatment plans.
- Implement crisis intervention techniques to manage and de-escalate behavioral emergencies effectively and safely.
- Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and discharge plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and update discharge plans that promote patient stability and community reintegration.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate patient status and needs to clinical supervisors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies related to patient care and documentation.
