Summit Medical Group is recruiting for a Charge Coding Coordinator which ensures that charges are entered accurately, errors are addressed in a timely mannerand all reports are completed. This is a full time opportunity. Examples of Duties (List does not include all duties assigned) Posts patient charges to the billing system for assigned site locations, using appropriate codes (ICD-10 / CPT). Makes corrections to billing information, as appropriate. Maintain acceptable performance metrics to ensure superior quality of charge submission. Review charges for appropriate high-risk coding. Maintains knowledge of carrier specific coding requirements and edits. Attends training and other meetings as appropriate; keeps current on revisions related to coding and computer skills. Cross-trains other staff in charge entry functions, skills, and updates, as coordinated with the AR Department Manager or Site Manager. Maintains work area in neat and orderly manner.
