Job Overview

Wright Contracting, Inc. is looking for a results-driven and detail-oriented Senior Project Estimator / Manager to support our growing portfolio of commercial, industrial, and government construction projects. This dual-role position involves both estimating and managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring success in budget, timeline, and quality. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive bids for public and private construction projects
  • Review and respond to RFPs, RFQs, and bid documents per procurement standards
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor scopes of work
  • Coordinate preconstruction planning and project kickoff with internal teams and external partners
  • Monitor and manage field operations, ensuring jobsite quality, safety, and schedule adherence
  • Maintain project documentation, including contracts, submittals, and RFIs
  • Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws, certified payroll reporting, and government standards
  • Build lasting relationships with clients, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction as a PM and/or Estimator
  • Proven knowledge of government contract requirements and public works bidding
  • Proficiency with estimating and project management tools (Sage Estimating, OST, Microsoft/Google Suite)
  • Strong ability to manage multiple estimates and projects with precision and follow-through
  • Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specs, and construction documents
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • Primarily office-based with routine site visits as needed

Work Location

  • Knoxville, TN
  • (Projects generally located throughout the greater Knoxville area)
