About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director of IT Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for its IT support services. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of IT functions, including first-level help desk support, desktop computing, AV systems, and classroom technology. This role involves being a key liaison between IT and the university community, ensuring that technical concepts are effectively communicated in business terms. The Executive Director will also oversee technology refresh cycles, capacity planning, and the establishment of service level agreements to optimize IT services. Collaboration with IT security, infrastructure, and other key initiatives is essential, as is the management of vendor relationships and budgets. Applicants for the Executive Director of IT Services position at the company should have a B.S. in computer science, business, leadership, or a related field, with ITIL certification preferred. The role requires exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, as well as a proven track record in building and managing high-performing, customer-focused teams. Experience in help desk operations, service level agreements, and enterprise IT environments is necessary, with a preference for those who have worked in higher education IT.
