Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to design, maintain, and upgrade our critical cloud infrastructure utilizing Windows and Unix systems. The ideal candidate will possess a holistic understanding of the software development lifecycle, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies, coupled with a strong adherence to cloud best practices and security protocols.

  1. Lead cloud infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing system efficiency, availability, and performance.
  2. Assess project specifications based on user and business needs and review pricing options in relation to current service rates.
  3. Research, architect, develop, and implement processes and workloads on AWS and other cloud platforms.
  4. Assist in resolving intricate performance and availability challenges.
  5. Design and build CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code solutions for cloud applications.
  6. Provide constructive feedback to developers and IT team members to optimize functionality and performance.
  7. Mentor and guide fellow Cloud Operations team members.

Qualifications

We are specifically seeking local candidates based in Knoxville, TN or nearby areas. Please note that this position does not offer immigration sponsorship, and applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States without additional support.

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
  • At least five years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with the entire Microsoft Enterprise Suite is essential.
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS Cloud is crucial.
  • Strong understanding of Azure and GCP is highly desirable.
