Server Administrator (SCCM/MECM + Windows Server)

Location: Knoxville, TN

Employment Type: Full Time - Direct Hire - 100% On Site Required

Hire Elevation Resources is seeking an experienced Server Administrator with deep expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Windows Server administration. You will play a critical role in supporting enterprise IT operations by managing patching, deployments, imaging, and system compliance across a large server and workstation environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team, implement best practices, and help maintain a secure, reliable infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Administer SCCM/MECM Infrastructure: Maintain and optimize primary sites, distribution points, and management points.
  • Patch Management: Deploy and monitor Windows updates, security patches, and compliance baselines.
  • OS Deployment: Create and maintain task sequences, PXE boot environments, and automated OS imaging solutions.
  • Application Deployment: Package, test, and roll out software across enterprise endpoints.
  • Windows Server Administration: Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, WSUS, and other core services.
  • Automation & Scripting: Use PowerShell to streamline administrative tasks and reporting.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve SCCM client health issues, deployment failures, and server performance issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain SOPs, diagrams, and compliance records.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems/Server Administrator in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on expertise with SCCM/MECM administration, patching, OSD, collections, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS, and MDT
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with endpoint security integration (Microsoft Defender, compliance baselines).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Intune co-management and cloud-based device management.
  • Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with CIS benchmarks or other security compliance frameworks.
