Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

EMC Engineer - Knoxville - Up to $120,000

I am currently representing a Knoxville-based company seeking an EMC engineer!

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience performing MIL-STD-461 and/or IEC 61000 immunity tests.
  • Proficiency with spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, oscilloscopes, RF amplifiers, and vector network analyzers.
  • Experience developing EMC test plans and test reports.
  • Knowledge of EMC equipment calibrations and measurement uncertainty analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop test plans and perform EMC qualification testing in the laboratory and field.
  • Analyze equipment and test results to provide justifications when troubleshooting is not possible.
  • Prepare technical documentation.
  • Perform research and development activities related to EMC.
  • Work with software developers to enhance EMC testing and reporting capabilities.
  • Travel 5 to 10 times per year for an average 5-day duration per trip to perform field service testing at national and international nuclear power plants and other customer facilities.
