Sales Compensation Strategy Professional
We are seeking a data-driven and strategic Compensation Strategy Professional Point of Care to design, optimize, and report on incentive compensation plans for our point of care business. This role ensures compensation structures align with business goals, market trends, and industry best practices, with an emphasis on sales and operational performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, a working knowledge of compensation design frameworks, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Compensation Plan Design (70%)
- Design, evaluate, and refine incentive compensation plans across sales, operations, and support functions in alignment with business strategy.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive benchmarking to ensure plans are equitable, attractive, and aligned with industry standards.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders, Finance, and HR Business Partners to understand goals and ensure compensation plans drive the desired performance.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in compensation design and pay equity.
- Continuously monitor compensation trends within the life sciences, laboratory services, and adjacent industries.
- Collaborate with Commissions Administration to ensure successful execution of sales compensation plans.
- Provide ongoing analytics to evaluate the success of the compensation plans and provide recommendations for next years plans.
- Design / evaluate additional compensation such as SPIFs, special bonuses, etc.
- Performance Reporting & Analytics (30%)
- Build and maintain performance dashboards and reporting tools to track incentive plan effectiveness, ROI, and alignment with KPIs.
- Partner with Finance and Sales Operations to ensure accurate and timely reporting of individual and team performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain compensation models, simulations, and scenario analyses to forecast plan outcomes and budget impact.
- Prepare regular performance reports and compensation insights for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Analyze historical and real-time performance data to recommend plan adjustments and strategic improvements.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the life sciences, diagnostics, or laboratory services sector.
- Strong analytical mindset and modeling capabilities.
- Familiarity with CRM/Sales Performance Management platforms (e.g., Shareville, Varicent, etc).
- Strong business acumen with the ability to link compensation strategies to operational and sales goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Analytics, or related field (analytical). Masters or CCP certification a plus.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in compensation design, preferably within B2B or scientific/technical industries.
- Proficiency with compensation analysis tools and/or analytical software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI).
- Basic understanding of compliance, pay equity, and regulatory considerations.

Compensation & Benefits
The annual base pay for this position ranges from Min $92,900 to Max $139,300. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. If this is a commission-eligible position, commissions are based on individual and/or company performance. The Company offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, long-term and short-term disability, paid time off, and more, subject to eligibility.
