Job Title: Electronics Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Electronics Maintenance Technician supports manufacturing operations in the automotive industry by installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic systems-particularly those related to product testing and validation. This role ensures that test equipment, automated machinery, and control systems function reliably and meet performance standards, contributing to high-quality vehicle component production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic test equipment used in the inspection and validation of automotive components (e.g., ECUs, sensors, switches, actuators).
* Perform preventive maintenance on automated test stands, environmental chambers, electronic load testers, and measurement systems.
* Diagnose and resolve issues with PCs, HMIs, data acquisition systems, and other automated controls commonly used in automotive production.
* Calibrate and verify accuracy of electronic test instruments in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 or IATF 16949 standards.
* Interpret and use electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and test specifications.
* Support installation and commissioning of new test equipment and related control systems.
* Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to reduce downtime and improve test process reliability.
* Maintain detailed logs and maintenance records using CMMS and test equipment asset tracking systems.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and industry-specific standards for electrical/electronic systems.
Qualifications:
* Associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field or 4+ years of relevant experience
* 2+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting test equipment in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of industrial electronics, including analog/digital circuits, signal conditioning, and sensor technologies.
* Familiarity with automotive test protocols (e.g., end-of-line testing, durability, NVH, CAN/LIN diagnostics).
* Experience with calibration and test data systems is a plus.
* Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under minimal supervision.
* Availability for shift work, weekends, or on-call support as required by production demands.
Work Environment:
* Fast-paced automotive manufacturing and testing environment.
* Exposure to electrical systems, test stations, moving machinery, and temperature-controlled test chambers.
* PPE required, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection in designated areas.
