RELOCATION
We operate a fleet of aircraft throughout the U.S. Our full-time maintenance staff, flight schedulers, and executive team are based at our headquarters in Memphis, TN.

Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership & Oversight

  • Direct and oversee all day-to-day aircraft maintenance operations and personnel.
  • Establish, implement, and manage company aircraft maintenance programs in compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer requirements.
  • Exercise authority to hire, supervise, train, and, when necessary, terminate maintenance personnel.
  • Serve as a member of the companys Safety Review Committee, contributing to the advancement of the companys safety culture.

Regulatory Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure all maintenance is performed in accordance with 14 CFR, company maintenance procedures, and OEM recommendations.
  • Ensure all regulatory maintenance requirements outlined in the company operations specifications are met.
  • Maintain aircraft maintenance records, airworthiness directives, and service bulletin compliance files in current status.
  • Liaise with the FAA Administrator or their representative regarding maintenance matters.
  • Initiate, amend, and sign operations specifications relating to aircraft maintenance.

Maintenance Operations

  • Supervise and ensure the quality of maintenance activities, including inspections, overhauls, repairs, and modifications.
  • Arrange for flight checks following significant repairs or modifications that may affect flight characteristics.
  • Oversee work performed by outside vendors and coordinate with maintenance contracting agencies.
  • Ensure required inspections and tests are performed on or before the necessary compliance times.
  • Oversee the requisition of parts, materials, and precision tools, ensuring calibration and compliance of all equipment.

Communication & Coordination

  • Advise Operations on aircraft status, downtime forecasts, and reliability reporting.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Pilot when OEM aircraft publications (AFM, checklists, etc.) are updated.
  • Complete trip interruption and mechanical reliability reports as required.
  • Perform liaison duties with vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • Must meet FAA regulatory requirements for Director of Maintenance under 14 CFR 119.69 and 119.71(e).
  • Extensive experience in aircraft maintenance management within Part 135 or Part 121 operations.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, OEM maintenance procedures, and air carrier maintenance standards.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, supervise, and manage personnel effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with FAA representatives, vendors, and internal leadership.
