Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead the engineering function for a $300M/year, three-plant campus supporting 5-8 diverse product lines (Rhino, Armadillo, Hippo, V-Bank, CCDU, Mega Stack, Low Voltage, BPHE). This role is responsible for driving manufacturing excellence through process design, continuous improvement, and capital execution while managing a team of up to three Manufacturing Engineers.

The ideal candidate is both a hands-on technical leader and a people manager who can balance day-to-day problem-solving with long-term strategy to increase safety, quality, delivery, and productivity across the campus.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Leadership & Team Management

    n
  • Lead and develop a team of up to 3 Manufacturing Engineers, setting priorities and ensuring alignment with campus goals.
  • n

  • Build a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • n

  • Provide technical coaching and career development support to the engineering team.
  • n

Manufacturing Engineering

    n
  • Own process design, line balancing, and equipment utilization across all product lines (Rhino, Armadillo, Hippo, V-Bank, CCDU, Mega Stack, Low Voltage, BPHE).
  • n

  • Standardize best practices across the three-plant campus to drive consistency and efficiency.
  • n

  • Partner with Production, Quality, SCM, and Maintenance to resolve issues quickly and sustainably.
  • n

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

    n
  • Drive Lean/OpEx initiatives to reduce cycle times, improve throughput, and minimize COPQ.
  • n

  • Implement automation and efficiency improvements targeting 2-3% annual productivity gains.
  • n

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions on recurring production issues.
  • n

Capital & Project Management

    n
  • Develop business cases and ROI justifications for new equipment, tooling, and technology.
  • n

  • Oversee capital projects from concept through installation, qualification, and handover.
  • n

  • Support introduction of new product lines and expansion projects (e.g., CCDU, Mega Stack).
  • n

Metrics & Accountability

    n
  • Track and report performance on key KPIs (Safety, OEE, Productivity, COPQ, CAPEX ROI).
  • n

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • n

  • Provide regular updates to campus leadership on engineering priorities, risks, and outcomes.
  • n

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

    n
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (Master's ).
  • n

  • 7+ years in Manufacturing Engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • n

  • Experience in high-mix, engineered-to-order or capital equipment manufacturing strongly .
  • n

  • Proven track record leading Lean/OpEx initiatives and delivering measurable results.
  • n

  • Strong knowledge of CAD, ERP systems (SAP, MTM, etc.), and manufacturing analytics tools.
  • n

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • n
