Job Opportunity: School Psychologist

Salary: $62/Hour

Amergis Educational Staffing is currently seeking School Psychologists for the 2025-2026 school year! The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aids in qualifying students for additional support services. The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must maintain current state licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment
• Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred
• Master's degree in psychology preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Support students facing mental health and developmental challenges through counseling, intervention, and referral services.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies.
• Assist in qualifying students for additional support services by interpreting assessment data and recommending appropriate interventions.
• Provide on-site psychological services in accordance with state and district guidelines.
• Monitor student progress and adjust support plans as needed to ensure academic and emotional growth.
• Promote a safe and inclusive school environment by implementing programs that foster resilience, social skills, and conflict resolution.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student evaluations, services provided, and outcomes.
• Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school psychology and special education.
