Job Opportunity: School Psychologist
Salary: $62/Hour
Amergis Educational Staffing is currently seeking School Psychologists for the 2025-2026 school year! The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aids in qualifying students for additional support services. The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must maintain current state licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment
- Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred
- Master's degree in psychology preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Support students facing mental health and developmental challenges through counseling, intervention, and referral services.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies.
- Assist in qualifying students for additional support services by interpreting assessment data and recommending appropriate interventions.
- Provide on-site psychological services in accordance with state and district guidelines.
- Monitor student progress and adjust support plans as needed to ensure academic and emotional growth.
- Promote a safe and inclusive school environment by implementing programs that foster resilience, social skills, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student evaluations, services provided, and outcomes.
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school psychology and special education.
