JOB SUMMARY:
As an integral member of our healthcare team, the Medical Assistant provides exceptional clinical care to patients in urgent care, occupational health, and workers' compensation settings. Your role will involve initial patient evaluations, conducting x-ray tests, and preparing patients for their provider evaluations by accurately recording histories, vital signs, and necessary documentation. You will also assess acuity levels to ensure timely interventions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following list outlines the core duties and responsibilities expected in this position, though additional tasks may be assigned:

  • Greet patients promptly and communicate clearly about next steps and wait times.
  • Address patient concerns and seek assistance during emergencies.
  • Ensure timely follow-up for lab and x-ray results with urgent communication.
  • Support front desk staff with check-in and check-out processes as needed.
  • Accurately document vital signs, patient histories, medications, allergies, and relevant details.
  • Assist with patient transfers, procedures, and lab work under the supervision of providers.
  • Prepare and conduct X-ray tests, ensuring proper techniques and patient safety standards.
  • Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms while completing all necessary visit documentation.
  • Follow infection control, safety regulations, and patient confidentiality protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other clinical procedures as trained.

WHAT DOES THE SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE?
Our full-time team members enjoy a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, with 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. For those seeking flexibility, our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled as needed.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Certified Medical Assistant status is preferred.
  • Experience performing X-Rays is desirable.
