Position Overview—
BWXT is committed to delivering innovative nuclear solutions and is expanding into the uranium enrichment sector. We are seeking visionary leaders to help shape the future of nuclear energy in the United States. This Director of Engineering will lead the uranium enrichment engineering department, oversee multi-site technical operations, and drive strategic excellence across federal, commercial, and national security programs. The role ensures technical rigor, regulatory compliance, and operational performance across a portfolio of high-consequence nuclear facilities and projects.
This role is ideal for a highly experienced nuclear engineer with demonstrated leadership in licensing, readiness, safety basis development, system engineering, and integrated startup/testing operations.
On-site in Oak Ridge, TN
Pay: $136,000 - $203,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $136,000 and $203,000 per year. The actual offer will depend on local market factors, candidate knowledge, skills, and experience. Total compensation may include an annual cash incentive and a full range of benefits. Details will be provided with an employment offer. This position is at-will unless governed by a collective bargaining agreement.
