Overview


Project Engineer role at Mesa Associates, Inc — Mesa seeks a Project Engineer whose primary function is to lead the project technical team to deliver successful projects by ensuring that project goals/objectives are achieved, and all business processes and applicable procedures are followed. This person will plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering/design work for projects, as well as assist the project team with defining/clarifying project scope and level of detail required satisfying customer expectations and projecting requirements. Secondary responsibilities include supporting the project manager with preparing and maintaining the project status reports along with project action item lists, and project change orders.

  • Ability to perform a broad range of supervisory responsibilities over others.

  • Possess strong verbal and written communications skills. Ability to coordinate with and interface with clients, vendors, engineers, colleagues, and other electric utilities personnel.

  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively with clients, peers, and affiliates.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, scheduling software and possess working knowledge of corporate accounting practices and business operations.

  • Possess willingness to develop, promote and comply with Mesa safety requirements.


Education/Experience/Licensure



  • A bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university is required.

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant project experience with at least five years' experience functioning as a design engineer on a variety of projects.

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required.
