Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS) is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support our client in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with team members to develop technical specifications, statements of work, and drawing packages to establish external standards for suppliers and vendors.
  2. Develop and evaluate project plans and criteria with peer engineers.
  3. Coordinate team meetings with domestic and international diagnostic counterparts to report status and develop action plans.
  4. Review fabrication documents, drawings, specifications, and material certificates.
  5. Prepare and deliver technical presentations on project scope and progress.
  6. Assess the applicability of requirements and internal controls.
  7. Assist in scheduling and work assignment to meet project deadlines.
  8. Document manufacturing plans and dossiers.
  9. Evaluate fabrication deviations and non-conformances from suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related Engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • At least four years of relevant experience in technical project management, design, and manufacturing of complex structures and systems.
  • Experience with project management tools, vendor interactions, and fabrication processes.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling/CAD and fabrication drawing review.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of structural, electromagnetic, nuclear, and thermo-hydraulic analysis.
  • Over eight years of experience in diagnostics, optics, RF, microwave, and vacuum components for large-scale facilities.
  • Familiarity with U.S. and international design standards and regulations.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry.

This is a fully onsite position in Oak Ridge, TN.
