The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) is a regional, not‑for‑profit environmental advocacy organization that promotes responsible and equitable energy choices to ensure, safe, and healthy communities throughout the Southeast. As a leading voice for energy policy in our region, SACE is focused on transforming the way we produce and consume energy in the Southeast.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support updates to and potential expansion of SACE's internal database, SENFO, which tracks decarbonization progress.
  • Assist SACE's Utility Reform staff with reports, white papers, and articles.
  • Analyze data and provide insights to staff and external partners.
  • Support public education through the communications team, including drafting blogs, articles, and assisting with webinars.
  • Analyze potential pipeline projects that could drive new gas power generation projects.
  • Review and synthesize regulatory and other legal documents.
  • Perform additional work to further SACE's mission of improving energy affordability through reducing fossil fuels across the Southeast.

Preferred Experience

  • Energy sector knowledge, such as renewable energy, utility regulation, energy efficiency, electric or gas utility work, or grid management.
  • Understanding of electricity markets, decarbonization pathways, or energy transition strategies.

This is a full‑time position that may be based remotely in the southeast. Salary is contingent on experience.
