Essential duties and responsibilities: Responsible for inspection activities required to maintain productivity, delivery, and quality levels. Be familiar with and capable of using sampling plans for product and process inspection. Demonstrate technical competence with measuring and test equipment. Measure correctly and accurately product and tooling used in the manufacturing process, including patterns, fixtures, etc. Maintain material traceability and supporting documentation where required. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: Ability to understand the principles, practices, and processes of QA and QC is preferred. Proficient in the use of mechanical inspection tools and equipment as they apply. Use of computer to retrieve and input data. Able to react to change favorably and perform other job functions as required. Able to speak, understand and follow English language instructions. Effectively communicate verbally and in written ideas and policies.
Working conditions: General shop environment. Some exposure to dust, noise and moving equipment in the manufacturing area. Normal work hours 7:30 AM 4:00 p.M. Monday through Friday. Weekend work required occasionally.
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit; stand, walk, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. Regularly and frequently engages hands, wrists and fingers in repetitive motions for considerable durations of time. May occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 70 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
