About the Role:

The Housekeeper in the Health Care Services industry at Cornerstone, 55, plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position ensures that all assigned areas are thoroughly cleaned and organized according to established protocols, contributing directly to the overall health and well-being of the facility's occupants. The Housekeeper will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, dusting, waste disposal, and sanitization of surfaces, while adhering to infection control standards. Attention to detail and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions are essential to ensure compliance with health regulations and facility policies. Ultimately, this role supports the smooth operation of the healthcare environment by creating a welcoming and hygienic space that promotes recovery and comfort.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand and follow instructions accurately.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including reaching overhead and working in fast-paced environments.
• Basic mathematical skills to measure cleaning solutions and maintain inventory records.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in housekeeping or environmental services within a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and use of hospital-grade disinfectants.

• Additional language skills to communicate with diverse patient and staff populations.

Responsibilities:
