Pride Health is hiring a Quality Control Lab Assistant to support our client's medical facility, which is based in Knoxville, TN

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Knoxville, TN

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday; 10:30PM - 7:00AM (40 hrs/week)

Pay Range: $18.80/hr (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

Responsibilities:

• Assists in preparing materials for testing and supports certified personnel in performing laboratory procedures.
• Duties include receiving, processing, and preparing samples; operating front-end automation; storing and retrieving specimens; preparing buffers; and properly disposing of biohazard waste.
• Participates in continuing education and follows all EHS and safety policies to maintain a clean work environment.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots lab instruments and uses the laboratory inventory system to track samples, including positive specimens.
• Works within cGMP guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Monitors inventory levels and notifies the supervisor of supply needs, along with performing other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior Lab experience is preferred.
