The Opportunity:

  • Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Each person, regardless of role or position, is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and Quality and GMP.
  • Responsible for knowing production needs for all printing presses.
  • Ensure printing presses have the job materials (ink, plates, board stock, etc.) needed to operate.
  • Aid with press set-up.
  • Clean the waste room, ink drums, waste chemical drums, and keep ink sentinel drum station clean.
  • Responsible for swapping floor plates.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep on production equipment.
  • Provide crews with breaks as needed.
  • General cleaning duties on each press, sweep platforms, wipe down equipment.
  • Storage and maintenance of coating blankets, create new blankets as needed.
  • Assist with general operations on presses.
  • Ensure each press has materials for at least 3 jobs staged and ready to run.
  • Pull sheeted loads and stage correctly.
  • Assist with equipment repairs when possible.
  • Clean up department before shift change (garbage and rag buckets empty, material stocked, area swept and clean)
  • Safely operate motorized pallet jacks.
  • Responsible for training successor.
  • Keep area in specs within all 5S requirements.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Report to management any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality.
  • Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training.
  • Heavy manufacturing duties, walking around plant, communicating.
  • Computer work, desk work
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Previous related experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
