The Dispatcher will coordinate driver assignments and activities to ensure proper distribution service to our customers. Escalate issues whenever there are risks to proper service.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work will take place both at a desk in an office environment and in normal warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Related Experience/Requirements:
Minimum one year of transportation or logistics experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Excellent telephone and customer service ability. Math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.
Education:
High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior dispatcher experience preferred. Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service Regulations and driver logs. Knowledge of our geographic delivery area.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $17 - $25.
