SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the housekeeping personnel is to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in all areas of the building including but not limited to the production floor, warehouse, offices, restrooms, lobby, and break rooms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions in accordance with established housekeeping procedures and as assigned by supervision.
• Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies; reports all hazardous equipment or conditions and accidents/incidents to the supervisor, no matter how minor they may be.
• Clean all communal areas of the building including offices, hallways, lobbies, office break room, and restrooms.
• Cleans production and warehouse floors, employee break room, and employee restrooms.
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate or notify supervisor of material deficits.
• Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
• Proactive communication and ready response anytime the need arises.
• Keeps supervisor informed regarding any contract vendor discrepancies.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding environmental, health and safety company policy.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, squat, and perform light lifting.
• Physically able to operate cleaning equipment.
• Capable of pushing, pulling, or lifting to 25 to 40 lbs.
• Frequently exposed to cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
