Assist all customers at the retail Copy, Print & Mail center with the following: Mailing domestic, international letters, Copying, and Wide Format printing. USPS packages. Sell stamps and postage. Operate postage meters and apply correct postage to outgoing mail and packages. Sell money orders and special USPS services such as certified and registered mail. Must be trained to perform all functions at the Copy, Print & Mail to include handling cash and cash register, maintaining stamp inventory, selling USPS services and supplies, processing money orders and completing daily deposits and USPS Form 1412. Open and operate the Campus Shipping Store as needed. This position will also require Passport Acceptance Agent training to assist in processing passport applications for faculty, staff, students and the public. Operate postage meters and process special mailings to ensure the correct postage for each class of mail has been applied. Receive and sort all classes of mail and packages. Assist with mail finishing projects, working in Copy & Print receiving files, setting up copiers or wide format machines and other tasks duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • This person identify all classes of mail, estimate the cost for shipping and complete all postal forms for the contract mail unit.
  • Work with the public in a retail environment for transactions of Copying, Print, Mail, Passport, Notary, and TSA checkpoint office.
  • Set-up and operate postage meters, weigh and apply appropriate postage to all classes of mail. Set-up and evaluate files to print to multi functional copier, or wide format plotter.
  • Cut, laminate, and mount wide format prints to form core, coroplast.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of printing service work experience
  • Must test be able to be a certified as the Passport Facility Agent, Notary, and TSA Agent in the first six months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 Year Customer Service in retail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
  • Experience working in the public sector, specifically public education
