Job Description

Do you love transforming spaces and have a knack for commercial remodeling? We want you on our team! We are seeking skilled technicians experienced in remodeling projects to enhance our travel centers across the United States.

  1. Remodel various areas in the travel centers including restrooms, showers, and the sales floor.
  2. Perform essential electrical, carpentry, and plumbing tasks.
  3. Work closely with general managers to address and resolve maintenance issues.
  4. Order necessary materials for projects.
  5. Exemplify behaviors that support our company's mission, ensuring top-notch support for guests and team members.
  6. Comply with all relevant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures during all activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid state driver's license needed.
  • Minimum of 4 years in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Trade or vocational school education preferred.
  • Background check is required.
  • Experience with electrical work, plumbing, sheetrock, fiberglass, painting, tiling, and caulking is essential.
  • Good understanding of construction practices.
  • Intermediate math skills are necessary.
  • Accountability and performance standards must be met consistently.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various levels of the organization for negotiation and problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working both independently and within teams to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays, may be required up to 100% of the time.
  • Ability to work more than 10 hours per day, including evenings, weekends, and odd hours as needed.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from elevated heights.
