As an accomplished Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a vital role in our operations. In this leadership position, you will oversee and coordinate the efforts of the maintenance team in ensuring the upkeep and repair of facilities and grounds. Your responsibilities will include supervising all Maintenance Department employees and executing managerial functions as aligned with company policies and applicable laws.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Prioritizing safety as the top concern at MCC and ensuring compliance with all safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Setting a standard for your team by consistently following safety protocols and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
  • Leading the team in precise machine repair, electrical, and mechanical maintenance tasks.
  • Developing and maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program.
  • Managing requisitions for tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Training and developing all maintenance personnel to ensure high standards of work.
  • Conducting inspections to ensure completed work meets blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Analyzing production schedules to effectively allocate worker hours for tasks.
  • Implementing and upholding company policies and safety regulations among workers.
  • Adjusting work procedures as needed to align with production schedules.
  • Recommending improvements in working conditions and use of equipment to boost team efficiency.
  • Evaluating and resolving work-related issues or assisting team members in overcoming challenges.
  • Initiating motivational strategies to drive workers towards achieving performance goals.
  • Maintaining accurate time and production records.
  • Collaborating with other supervisors to synchronize departmental activities.
  • Participating in hands-on maintenance tasks when necessary.
  • Managing waste program compliance with OSHA & DHEC requirements.
  • Contributing to special projects and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school, or 5 to 8 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical documents including safety protocols and maintenance manuals.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for engaging with groups of employees or clients.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics relevant to the role, including algebra and geometry.
  • Physical Demands: The position requires standing, walking, using hands for tasks, reaching, stooping, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds regularly. Reasonable accommodations may be made for those with disabilities.
