Maintenance Worker - Painter

Are you ready to make an impact from day one? Nestled just outside the Great Smoky Mountains, around 30 miles North of Knoxville, in a small, quaint, beautiful town, called Andersonville, sits Norris Academy, a residential treatment facility that offers comprehensive, holistic services to youth with autism spectrum disorders, and/or other neurodevelopmental diagnosis.

Compensation Ranges: $20-24 per hour.

What you will do:

• Perform work orders consistent with individual skills and abilities
• Patch sheetrock, caulk, and paint to a finished appearance
• Complete general building maintenance tasks
• Change light bulbs and perform minor electrical repairs
• Maintain smoke detectors and emergency lighting systems
• Replace ceiling tiles, floor tiles, carpeting, and linoleum
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as needed

To be considered you should:

• Be 21 years of age or older
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Be able to pass a background screening, drug test, and physical
• Have at least 1 year experience in facilities maintenance

Schedule/hours/shift: Monday through Friday 9:30am to 5pm. This position will be required to work some evening shifts to paint and make repairs in the school area.
