Office Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated Office Assistant to provide short-term support to the Human Resources team of a manufacturing company in Knoxville, Tennessee. This contract position will last for three weeks and involves organizing and digitizing sensitive HR-related documentation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Scan and digitize HR documentation to ensure accurate electronic record-keeping.
  2. Maintain and update digital files using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  3. Handle confidential information in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  4. Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed, including managing ad hoc tasks.
  5. Collaborate with HR staff and other departments to clarify and verify document details.
  6. Ensure all records are organized systematically for easy retrieval.
  7. Participate in routine clerical duties to support team operations.
  8. Assist in maintaining accurate and efficient data entry processes.
  9. Review and verify information to ensure accuracy before finalizing records.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in handling confidential information within an administrative or HR setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong data entry skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with HR administrative processes or human resources software is preferred.
  • Ability to commit to the three-week duration of the contract.
  • Prior experience scanning and digitizing documents is a plus.
  • Capability to perform clerical tasks efficiently and accurately.
