Maintenance Worker - Painter

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Maintenance Worker - Painter at Norris Academy in Andersonville, TN. Are you ready to make an impact from day one? Nestled just outside the Great Smoky Mountains, around 30 miles north of Knoxville, in a small, quaint, beautiful town called Andersonville, sits Norris Academy, a residential treatment facility that offers comprehensive, holistic services to youth with autism spectrum disorders, and/or other neurodevelopmental diagnosis.

What you will do:

• Perform work orders consistent with individual skills and abilities
• Patch sheetrock, caulk, and paint to a finished appearance
• Complete general building maintenance tasks
• Change light bulbs and perform minor electrical repairs
• Maintain smoke detectors and emergency lighting systems
• Replace ceiling tiles, floor tiles, carpeting, and linoleum
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as needed

To be considered you should:

• Be 21 years of age or older
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Be able to pass a background screening, drug test, and physical
• Have at least 1 year experience in facilities maintenance

Schedule/hours/shift: Monday through Friday 9:30am to 5pm. This position will be required to work some evening shifts to paint and make repairs in the school area.
