Bearden Behavioral Health has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detailed oriented Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday a 40-hour work week, between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The schedule will be determined by the supervisor upon hire.

Primary Responsibilities:
Answers inbound calls in a professional and courteous manner
Provides data entry functionality within our EHR system to include but not limited to entering/updating demographic information and uploading all relevant documents
Processes payments for co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, self-pay and missed appointments fees
Ability to maintain a work queue list- complete any pending actions ie referrals, scheduling appointments
Check In and Check Out patients
Conducts intake interviews for new patients as needed
Assist patients with completing new patient paperwork
Ability to work at both Med Management and Therapy Buildings
Maintain inventory of supplies
Send medical records to requested entities and patients
Send text messages to patients regarding upcoming appointments and cancelled/rescheduled appointments
Schedules appointments and follow-up appointments for individual sessions and group sessions
Secures patient information and maintains patient confidentiality by safeguarding medical records and keeping patient information confidential
Schedule transfer clients
Schedule group sessions
Assists with special projects
Check voicemails for the department intake and assign appropriate Intake Coordinator follow-up responsibility
General knowledge of various medical procedures, views, and equipment
Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical staff
Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of experience working in medical office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records
1+ years of computer proficiency experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Epic experience
Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans
Knowledge of medical terminology
Soft Skills:
Ability to work independently and as a team, and maintain good judgment and accountability
Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
