The Yoga Instructor will conduct exercise classes and programming for Nest at Blackberry Mountain. The Fitness/Yoga Instructor provides high quality service to guests through education and counseling. The Fitness /Yoga Instructor will assist the Wellness Director and Exercise Physiologist in creating and providing exercise programming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conduct group fitness classes
• Remains current on scientific exercise information
• Ensures confidentiality with respect to guest data according to HIPAA regulations and Blackberry Mountain confidentiality guidelines
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered
• Perform prep work, properly cleaning and restocking room as required
• Maintain a working knowledge of the Company's property, as well as special events on and near property, in order to advise guests' requests, whenever possible
• Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained
• Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the Center
• Assist in all areas of the spa operation, including locker room as needed, as requested by management
• Actively promote home care programs, meeting retail sales goals
• Maintain a professional reputation in the company and community
• Have a complete knowledge of all items sold in the juice bar
• Properly prepare and safely handle beverages and snack items offered
• Ensure the cleanliness and restocking of supplies of the juice bar
• Perform any tasks deemed necessary by manager

Must comply with all company policies and procedures.

To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and predictable attendance is required.

Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.

Must have the flexibility to work weekends.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Experience in individual/ group counseling preferred
• Previous hospital or wellness center experience preferred
• Current CPR Certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Must have excellent verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to prepare/write educational materials for guests
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers and team members

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic knowledge and understanding of math
• Ability to calculate calorie and nutrient requirements

REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10 lbs. and equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• 5,200 acres of Blackberry Mountain property
• Must be able to work in calm and quiet spa setting
