Job Title: Assembler Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assembler to join our team in building and assembling network racks for the US Navy. This role involves collaboration with network engineers to receive and interpret requirements, ensuring the successful assembly of network racks for submarines and ships.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Technician with cable routing for various rack systems.

  • Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.

  • Receive technical guidance from a supervisor or higher-level technician as needed, with work reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with assembly, schematics assembly, and blueprints.

  • Proficiency in cable management and mechanical aptitude.

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly of complex products.

  • Ability to manage 250+ cables and construct server racks from print to specification.

  • Technical ability to interpret complex work instructions and perform assemblies accordingly.

  • Experience in electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and cable routing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly of high-tech products.

  • Skilled in complex mechanical, sub-assembly, rack, and chassis assembly.

  • Skilled in building cable assemblies.

  • Familiarity with 5S standards and ISO 9001.

  • Ability to interpret and work to detailed drawings and assembly work instructions.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprint diagrams and schematics.

  • Familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and sound judgment in planning work sequences.

  • Experience with electronic assembly from component installation through subassembly and top-level assembly.

  • Experience in installation and replacement of cable assembly.

Work Environment

This position is very hands-on, requiring direct involvement in mechanical and electrical assembly on the floor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
